Products in the protocol
Reactive skin, whether it reacts on contact with an irritant or by nature, can be recognised by dry, red, itchy skin, sometimes with small flakes. According to Traditional Chinese Medicine, it reflects an imbalance of the Metal and Earth Elements, which govern the skin and elimination.
Dry, reactive skin: how to recognise the signs
- Very dry, red, irritated skin.
- Itching, sometimes intense, especially at night.
- Small flakes, sometimes weeping areas.
- For skin that reacts on contact: patches where the skin has touched an irritating substance (hands, wrists…).
Why moisturising alone is not enough
Very reactive skin lets water and irritants through, like blotting paper. In TCM, the skin is the outer image of our inner health: you need both to calm the skin and to identify what irritates it, outside as well as inside.
What makes the Géomer approach different
Actives of natural origin and an approach that links the condition of the skin to the Metal and Earth Elements.
What Géomer recommends
1

Soothe
Apply Amplitude Cream N°3 to the areas concerned and massage lightly with your fingertips until absorbed. Do not rinse.
2

Calm
Then spread a little Oligo F4 on the itchy areas to bring comfort to the skin. Do not rinse.
3

Keep irritants away
If your skin reacts on contact, identify the substance involved (household product, metal, perfume…) and protect your hands with cotton gloves under household gloves.
For children
The products in this protocol are not suitable for children. For a child, opt for a quick wash in lukewarm water, pat dry without rubbing and choose cotton clothing. Talk to your paediatrician; a personalised assessment can also provide advice.
