Understanding imperfections according to TCM

Imperfections are not simply a problem of oily skin. In Traditional Chinese Medicine, this imbalance is linked to the Wood Element — energy no. 1, which governs the Liver and the Gallbladder. When these organs are overloaded, toxins rise to the surface of the skin in the form of spots — particularly in spring.

The Purifying Serum does more than dry out spots on the surface — it acts directly on the mechanisms that cause them, regulating sebum at the source.

What the Purifying Serum does

Deep cleansing — Organic Silicon and zinc gluconate penetrate areas with imperfections to act on impurities.

Regulates sebum — sage and Sabal Serrulata stabilise sebum production. The scalp and skin regain their natural balance.

Soothes — Organic Silicon helps improve the appearance of skin marked by spots.

Non-greasy, non-sticky — its gel texture is absorbed quickly without residue. It can be applied alone or under a day or night cream.


Key ingredients

Organic Silicon & Zinc

The revitalising and cleansing duo of the serum. Organic Silicon (Monomethylsilanetriol) helps improve the appearance of the skin. Zinc sulphate is the benchmark soothing active for skin prone to imperfections — it calms redness.

Sabal Serrulata

Saw palmetto extract.

Sage & Petitgrain

Two essential oils selected for their action on the Liver and Gallbladder meridians according to the TCM logic of the Wood Element. Sage stabilises sebum and cleanses in depth. Petitgrain (Citrus Aurantium) provides a soothing action on reddened areas.

Application:

  • Morning or evening — as you prefer
  • Apply neat to clean skin, directly on the problem areas
  • Work in with your fingertips
  • Leave on for 5 minutes
  • Remove any excess with the Essential Lotion if necessary
  • Then apply your day or night cream if necessary
