Why a toning lotion makes all the difference

Even after careful make-up removal, the skin retains residues of make-up remover, dead cells and traces of pollution, which form an invisible barrier between the skin and the skincare applied to it. The result: a day or night cream that penetrates less well.

Lotion Essentielle removes this barrier. With a few sweeps of a cotton pad, it cleans away what make-up remover leaves behind, helps rebalance the skin's natural pH and prepares it for the next product, which can then penetrate better.

What the Essential Lotion does

Deep cleansing — removes leftover make-up remover, overnight sebum, dead cells and pollution impurities that water alone does not remove.

Rebalances the pH — the skin's natural pH is slightly acidic (4.5 to 5.5). Make-up removal disturbs it. The Essential Lotion quickly restores it, helping the skin regain its natural balance.

Stimulates and refreshes — lavender hydrosol and orange and lemon essential oils bring a feeling of freshness and liveliness after application.

Hydrates and illuminates — Aloe Vera and Spirulina contribute to surface hydration and to the natural radiance of the complexion.

Enhances the effectiveness of the following treatments — cleansed, rebalanced skin absorbs the actives of the day or night cream applied afterwards much better.

Lavender Hydrosol

Lavender floral water is the soul of this lotion. Purifying and soothing, it cleanses without harshness and contributes to the balance of sensitive or reactive skin. Its natural scent leaves a clean, fresh feeling.

Aloe Vera & Spirulina

Concentrated Aloe Vera powder brings its softening and surface-moisturising properties — it calms redness and leaves the skin soft to the touch. Spirulina, a blue alga naturally rich in proteins and antioxidants, brings its nutrients to the skin with every application.

Orange & Lemon Essential Oils

Two essential oils with complementary properties — sweet orange calms and decongests, lemon purifies and evens out the complexion. Their low concentration gives the Essential Lotion its characteristic radiance boost without irritating sensitive skin.
