Understanding dry skin according to TCM

Skin that dries out, loses its radiance and whose wrinkles gradually deepen is not simply "ageing" skin — it is skin whose internal mineralisation is becoming depleted. In Traditional Chinese Medicine, this imbalance is linked to the Metal Element — energy no. 4, which governs the Lungs and the Large Intestine. The Lungs govern the quality of the surface tissues — skin, hair, nails. A weakened Metal shows as gradual drying, loss of tone and visible demineralisation.

This imbalance is particularly marked in autumn — the season of the Metal Element — but affects people with a dry predominance chronically, all year round.

The fundamental difference between Terral Blanc and a classic moisturising cream: it does not provide fleeting surface hydration — it creates a cutaneous lymphatic drainage that allows the skin to remineralise from within and helps purify it.

What Terral Blanc does

Hydrates in depth — unlike creams, which only act on the surface, Terral Blanc penetrates the deeper layers thanks to the lymphatic drainage it triggers. Hydration is internal and long-lasting.

Remineralises the tissues — organic silicon helps restore to the skin the minerals lost with age and dryness.

Supports mature skin — by helping stimulate microcirculation and skin renewal, it helps reduce the appearance of wrinkles; a dull complexion looks more radiant.

Prepares the skin — used before applying targeted products (face care, scalp care), it prepares the skin to receive them.

Soothes the scalp — calms itching, nourishes dry and demineralised scalps and prepares the follicle for subsequent hair care.


Key ingredients

White clay (Kaolin) + Grape seed oil

Kaolin is the gentlest clay — mineralising and soothing without a drying effect. Grape seed oil and essential oils (rosemary, lavender, geranium, ylang-ylang) support skin comfort after the mask.

Organic silicon

Present as monomethylsilanetriol, it helps preserve the firmness and elasticity of the skin, stimulates microcirculation and enhances the deep absorption of the mineral ingredients.

Synergistic essential oils

Petitgrain · Lavender · Ylang-ylang · Geranium · Lemon · Tarragon · Rosemary. They nourish, calm and revitalise dry and mature skin; they are associated with the Lung and Large Intestine meridians according to TCM logic.

Application protocol:

  • Apply with a brush (8 mm face / 16 mm scalp) to uncleansed skin
  • Apply a layer about 1 mm thick

Terral Blanc triggers a lymphatic drainage that allows the skin to remineralise from within. Hydration is deeper, longer-lasting and accompanied by genuine skin renewal — not just a surface barrier effect.

Yes — kaolin is the gentlest clay there is. Terral Blanc suits dry and mature skin as well as normal skin wishing to prevent ageing. Very sensitive skin can start with a leave-on time reduced to 3 minutes in week 1 and observe the reaction before intensifying. If in doubt, carry out a test on a small area before the first full application.
