Understanding fine, lifeless hair according to TCM

Fine hair that lacks volume, falls out easily and seems lifeless — this is often the sign of gradual demineralisation. In Traditional Chinese Medicine, this imbalance is linked to the Water Element — energy no. 5, which governs the Kidneys and the Bladder. In winter, the body's vital energy withdraws towards its deep organs — neglecting surface tissues such as the hair and skin. The result: loss of minerals, loss of tone, loss of volume.

The same loss occurs during a high-protein diet or a period of intense stress — situations in which mineral reserves are quickly depleted.

The Seaweed Shampoo directly offsets this lack of minerals by providing the scalp with a high concentration of marine minerals — through its Breton seaweed — at the very moment of washing.

What the Seaweed Shampoo does

Remineralises the scalp — Breton seaweed (Laminaria Digitata) is among the most concentrated natural sources of marine minerals and trace elements. It directly offsets the demineralisation of fine hair.

Fuller-looking hair — properly mineralised hair looks thicker and stronger.

Tones the hair — the 6 essential oils (lavender, lemon, sage, juniper berries, thyme, clove) stimulate microcirculation in the scalp and contribute to its overall health.

Dual use — can be used as a toning shower gel for dry and sensitive skin — the seaweed and essential oils bring the same mineralising, toning effect to the skin of the body.

Made-to-measure adaptable — its base can be customised with a Géomer Amplitude according to your needs of the moment.

Evidence & Key ingredients

Breton Sea Seaweed (Laminaria Digitata)

A double source of seaweed in the formula — as an aqueous extract and as a powder. Laminaria Digitata is one of the seaweeds richest in minerals, iodine, vitamins and marine trace elements. It directly remineralises the scalp and the hair fibre with every wash.

6 Synergistic Essential Oils

Lavender · Lemon · Sage · Juniper berries · Thyme · Clove. They stimulate microcirculation in the scalp, cleanse and tone. Selected for their virtues on the Kidneys and the Bladder according to the TCM logic of the Water Element — acting on the deep vitality of the hair tissues.

Gentle cleansing agents

Sodium coco-sulfate · Decyl glucoside · Coco betaine. A gentle formula suited to weakened fine hair — it cleans without harshness, without weighing down and without disturbing the mineral balance restored by the seaweed.

Expert advice

Application to a dry scalp — a specific routine.

Shampoo routine:

  • Apply a hazelnut-sized amount directly to the dry scalp — not wet
  • Spread over the whole scalp with your fingertips
  • Leave on for 2 minutes
  • Wet, then work into a light lather
  • Rinse thoroughly

The small amount of lather is normal — do not compensate by using more shampoo.

Shower gel use:

  • Apply directly to wet skin
  • Massage, then rinse thoroughly
  • Ideal for dry and sensitive skin in winter

Pair it with the Hair Balm as a detangling conditioner — it does not weigh down fine hair.

Made-to-measure customisation: Add a few drops of Amplitude N°5 to your dose of shampoo to enhance the toning, remineralising action — same Water Element, a natural synergy particularly recommended in winter.

Frequently asked questions

Sea seaweed is naturally concentrated in minerals and trace elements — exactly what fine, demineralised hair has lost. Where conventional shampoos simply clean, the Seaweed Shampoo actively restores the missing minerals with every wash. Better-mineralised hair is structurally thicker and more voluminous.

It is particularly recommended in winter — the season of the Water Element, when demineralisation is most marked. But if your hair is structurally fine and dry all year round, it can be used continuously. It is also well suited after a high-protein diet or a period of intense stress — times when mineral reserves are quickly depleted.

Yes — its seaweed and essential oils bring the same mineralising, toning effect to the skin of the body. Particularly appreciated in winter for dry and sensitive skin, which benefits from the mineral supply of the Breton seaweed with every shower.
