Understanding red skin according to TCM

Skin that flushes easily, heats up and perspires is not simply 'sensitive' skin — it is skin that lacks balance in the face of heat. In Traditional Chinese Medicine, this imbalance is linked to the Fire Element — energy no. 2, which governs the Heart and Small Intestine. Excess Fire shows on the skin as persistent redness and increased sensitivity to heat.

This imbalance is particularly marked in summer — the season of the Fire Element — but can appear all year round in people with a Fire predominance.

What Terral Rouge does

Cooling effect — red clay (illite) and borneol help cool the skin and reduce the appearance of redness.

Red clay (Illite) + Borneol

Illite is the draining and decongesting clay par excellence — it absorbs excess heat with a decongesting effect, without harming the skin. Natural borneol enhances the refreshing effect and contributes to the skin's thermal regulation.

Organic silicon

Present as monomethylsilanetriol, it softens the appearance of diffuse redness, enhances the penetration of the soothing ingredients and helps maintain skin elasticity after drainage.
