In women, hair loss is often diffuse: the hair becomes finer, the parting widens and the hair loses volume without any truly bald area. The most common form is deficiency-related hair loss, linked to a dry scalp that ages too quickly. Traditional Chinese Medicine links the vitality of the hair to the Water Element, which governs the Kidneys, and its quality to the Metal Element.

Hair loss in women: how to recognise the signs
- You find more hair than before on your brush, your pillow or in the shower.
- The parting widens and the scalp becomes more visible.
- The hair becomes finer and loses volume and body.
- The scalp is dry and tight, or on the contrary oily at the roots.
- The hair loss persists and is not just a change of season.
Why vitamins or a lotion alone are not enough
A varied diet matters, but hair is born and nourished in the scalp. For TCM, a scalp that is dry, tight or poorly irrigated does not take in what it is given. The Géomer protocol therefore prepares the ground first: loosening, draining with a clay mask, washing with a suitable shampoo. The daily scalp care steps then take over, according to your hair loss profile: deficiency-related, hormonal or mixed.
What makes the Géomer approach different
A protocol that starts from the scalp and your hair loss profile, with a TCM reading of the Elements and leave-in care made with the ARK Quantique Process®.
What Géomer recommends
1

Identify your profile
Dry scalp and hair that is becoming finer: deficiency-related hair loss, the most common in women. Oily roots, dry ends, a thinning parting and crown: so-called hormonal hair loss. Both at once: mixed hair loss. After giving birth, there is a specific protocol. A personalised hair assessment helps you choose.
2

Loosen the scalp
Every day, for about 5 minutes, gently pinch and fold the scalp under your fingers, working up from the nape to the forehead. A supple scalp lets blood circulate more freely to the roots.
3
The Terral mask
During the full routine, use a brush to apply a layer of about 1 mm of Terral Blanc (dry, demineralised scalp) or Terral Gris (thinning areas, scalp lacking vitality) to the unwashed scalp, without spreading it on the lengths. Leave on for 20 minutes without letting it dry, then rinse with lukewarm water.
4

The right shampoo
Squeeze the hair well in a towel, then apply a hazelnut-sized amount of Seaweed Shampoo to the scalp. Leave on for 2 minutes, wet, work up a light lather and rinse. For dry, curly or coily hair, Nourishing Shampoo is a better fit: on wet hair, leave on for 4 minutes, then rinse thoroughly.
5

Moisturise the lengths
Spread a hazelnut-sized amount of Hair Balm through the lengths, comb and leave on for 2 minutes, then rinse according to your hair: thoroughly if it is very fine, lightly if it is medium, not at all if it is thick or very dry.
6

Every evening: Phyto Gel Bio H, then Oligo F3
Spread a few small dabs of Phyto Gel Bio H over the whole scalp, parting by parting, and massage in with your fingertips. Then apply a few small dabs of Oligo F3 in the same way. Do not rinse: these products are not sticky. Regularity matters more than quantity.
7

Once the hair loss has stabilised: Régénorsil
When you are losing less hair, add Régénorsil, 2 times a week at most: spray it directly onto the scalp, massage and do not rinse. On the evenings you use it, apply it first, before Phyto Gel Bio H and Oligo F3. Before the hair loss stabilises, it may temporarily increase the shedding of hairs already at the end of their cycle.
8

Optional step: Silicium Organique Forté
If you wish, you can add Silicium Organique Forté to your routine, a food supplement for adults only: maintenance, 25 ml a day; intensive course, 3 × 25 ml a day for 30 days. Preferably take it in the morning on an empty stomach, waiting at least 30 minutes before coffee.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding
During pregnancy and breastfeeding, most of the products in this protocol are not used: Terral Blanc, Terral Gris, Seaweed Shampoo, Phyto Gel Bio H, Oligo F3, Régénorsil and Silicium Organique Forté. The scalp massage, Nourishing Shampoo and Hair Balm remain possible. After giving birth, significant hair loss is common: follow our postpartum protocol instead and talk to your doctor or midwife.

Precautions
Terral Blanc, Terral Gris, Seaweed Shampoo, Phyto Gel Bio H, Oligo F3 and Régénorsil contain essential oils: do not use during pregnancy or breastfeeding; they are not recommended for children. The Terral masks, Phyto Gel Bio H and Oligo F3 are also not recommended for elderly people or people with chronic conditions; Terral Gris is not recommended if your scalp sweats a lot. Hair Balm contains wheat proteins: do not use it if you are allergic to wheat or gluten. Silicium Organique Forté is a food supplement for adults only, not recommended for pregnant or breastfeeding women or children; do not exceed the recommended daily dose. Avoid contact with the eyes and do a skin test if you are prone to allergies.

Frequently asked questions
Yes. A hair lives for several years, then falls out to make way for a new one. On average we lose 75 to 100 hairs a day. Hair loss becomes abnormal when it clearly exceeds this rate or the hair visibly thins.
Not necessarily. In women, deficiency-related hair loss is the most common, with a dry scalp. Oily roots with dry ends point rather to so-called hormonal hair loss. The Géomer hair assessment helps you tell the difference.
As long as the hair loss has not stabilised, it may temporarily increase the shedding of hairs already at the end of their cycle. This is not a negative effect, but it can be unsettling: start with Phyto Gel Bio H and Oligo F3.
This protocol is not suitable. During chemotherapy, focus on gentleness, without active products, and only with your oncologist's agreement. A dedicated guide gives you suitable advice.
No. It is a cosmetic protocol. If the hair loss is sudden, comes with tiredness or other signs, or follows taking a medicine, see your doctor or dermatologist.
