Hair loss in men

What Géomer recommends to support your scalp

In men, hair loss often sets in gradually: the hair becomes finer, the temples recede and the crown thins out. Traditional Chinese Medicine links the vitality of the hair to the Water Element, which governs the Kidneys, and reminds us that hair is born in the scalp: this is what needs rebalancing first.

At a glance

Who is it for

  • You are losing noticeably more hair than before: on the pillow, in the shower, when brushing.
  • The hair becomes finer and loses density over the months.

Frequency

The full routine (Terral mask, shampoo, Hair Balm) is done 2 times a week at first, then once a week for maintenance. The massage, Phyto Gel Bio H and Oligo F3 are done every evening. Régénorsil is added 2 times a week at most, once the hair loss has stabilised.

Hair loss in men: how to recognise the signs

  • You are losing noticeably more hair than before: on the pillow, in the shower, when brushing.
  • The hair becomes finer and loses density over the months.
  • The temples recede or the crown thins out.
  • The scalp is either oily with heavy roots, or dry and tight.
  • The hair loss persists and is not just a change of season.

Why a lotion alone is not enough

Hair is born and nourished in the scalp. For TCM, a scalp that is tight, too oily or poorly irrigated does not take in what it is given. The Géomer protocol therefore starts by preparing the ground: loosening, draining with a clay mask, washing with a suitable shampoo. Only then come the daily scalp care steps, chosen according to your hair loss profile: hormonal, deficiency-related or mixed.

What makes the Géomer approach different

A protocol that starts from the scalp and your hair loss profile, with a TCM reading of the Elements and leave-in care made with the ARK Quantique Process®.

What Géomer recommends

1

Identify your profile

Identify your profile

Oily scalp, heavy roots, receding temples and a thinning crown: a rather hormonal profile. Dry scalp and hair that is becoming finer: a deficiency-related profile, the most common. Both at once: a mixed profile. Each profile has its own protocol; a personalised hair assessment helps you choose.

2

Loosen the scalp

Loosen the scalp

Every day, for about 5 minutes, gently pinch and fold the scalp under your fingers, working up from the nape to the forehead. A supple scalp lets blood circulate more freely to the roots.

3

The Terral mask

The Terral mask

During the full routine, use a brush to apply a layer of about 1 mm of Terral Blanc (dry, demineralised scalp) or Terral Gris (thinning areas, scalp lacking vitality) to the unwashed scalp. Leave on for 20 minutes without letting it dry, then rinse with lukewarm water.

4

The right shampoo

The right shampoo

Squeeze the hair well in a towel, then apply a hazelnut-sized amount of Seaweed Shampoo to the scalp. Leave on for 2 minutes, wet, work up a light lather and rinse. If your scalp gets oily quickly, Energising Shampoo is a better fit: applied to a dry scalp, it is left on for 7 minutes before wetting and rinsing.

5

Moisturise the lengths

Moisturise the lengths

Spread a hazelnut-sized amount of Hair Balm through the lengths, comb and leave on for 2 minutes, then rinse according to your hair type. The essential oils in the previous steps can dry out weakened hair.

6

Every evening: Phyto Gel Bio H, then Oligo F3

Every evening: Phyto Gel Bio H, then Oligo F3

Spread a few small dabs of Phyto Gel Bio H over the whole scalp, even if the hair loss is localised, and massage in with your fingertips. Then apply a few small dabs of Oligo F3 in the same way. Do not rinse: these products are not sticky. Regularity matters more than quantity.

7

Once the hair loss has stabilised: Régénorsil

Once the hair loss has stabilised: Régénorsil

When you are losing less hair, add Régénorsil, 2 times a week at most: spray it directly onto the scalp, massage and do not rinse. On the evenings you use it, apply it first, before Phyto Gel Bio H and Oligo F3. Before the hair loss stabilises, it may temporarily increase the shedding of hairs already at the end of their cycle.

8

Optional step: Silicium Organique Forté

Optional step: Silicium Organique Forté

If you wish, you can add Silicium Organique Forté to your routine, a food supplement for adults only: maintenance, 25 ml a day; intensive course, 3 × 25 ml a day for 30 days. Preferably take it in the morning on an empty stomach, waiting at least 30 minutes before coffee.

Frequently asked questions

Yes. A hair lives for several years, then falls out to make way for a new one. On average we lose 75 to 100 hairs a day. Hair loss becomes abnormal when it clearly exceeds this rate or the hair visibly thins.

An oily scalp with receding temples or a thinning crown points to hormonal hair loss; a dry scalp with hair that is becoming finer points to deficiency-related hair loss. If you have both, it is mixed hair loss. The Géomer hair assessment helps you decide.

As long as the hair loss has not stabilised, it may temporarily increase the shedding of hairs already at the end of their cycle. This is not a negative effect, but it can be unsettling: start with Phyto Gel Bio H and Oligo F3.

This protocol is not suitable. During chemotherapy, focus on gentleness, without active products, and only with your oncologist's agreement. A dedicated guide gives you suitable advice.

No. It is a cosmetic protocol. If the hair loss is sudden, comes with other signs or follows taking a medicine, see your doctor or dermatologist.
