So-called hormonal or hereditary hair loss is the most widespread type in men. It is recognised by its pattern: the temples recede, the crown thins out, and the scalp is often oily, with heavy roots. Traditional Chinese Medicine sees an imbalance between the Wood Element, linked to excess sebum, and the Water Element, which governs the vitality of the hair. The Géomer protocol cares for the scalp; it does not act on hormones.
At a glance
Who is it for
- The temples recede and form an M shape.
- The crown gradually thins out.
Frequency
The full routine (Terral mask, Energising Shampoo, Hair Balm) is done 2 times a week at first, then once a week for maintenance. The massage, Phyto Gel Bio H and Oligo F3 are done every evening. Régénorsil is added 2 times a week at most, once the hair loss has stabilised.

Hormonal hair loss in men: how to recognise the signs
- The temples recede and form an M shape.
- The crown gradually thins out.
- The hair in these areas becomes finer before falling out.
- The scalp is oily, the roots heavy, sometimes with spots on the skin.
- The hair loss often starts young, but can occur at any age, for example when taking prescribed hormones.
Why care on the thinning areas alone is not enough
Applying a product to the temples or the crown is not enough if the scalp remains oily, tight and poorly drained: the care does not penetrate well. TCM suggests rebalancing the ground first: regulating excess sebum, loosening, draining with clay. The daily care steps then take over, over the whole scalp.
What makes the Géomer approach different
A TCM reading of the Wood and Water Elements, a scalp prepared before it is nourished, and no promise about your hormones: regular cosmetic care, made with the ARK Quantique Process®.
What Géomer recommends
1

Loosen without rubbing
Every day, for about 5 minutes, gently pinch and fold the scalp under your fingers, working up from the nape to the forehead, or massage it with the palms of your hands. Avoid rubbing it with your fingertips: this encourages sebum.
2
The Terral mask
During the full routine, use a brush to apply a layer of about 1 mm of Terral Gris (thinning areas, scalp lacking vitality) to the unwashed scalp. If your scalp is very oily or sweats a lot, choose Terral Vert instead. Leave on for 20 minutes without letting it dry, then rinse with lukewarm water.
3

A balancing shampoo
Squeeze the hair well, then apply a hazelnut-sized amount of Energising Shampoo to the scalp with your fingertips. Leave on for 7 minutes, wet, work up a light lather and rinse thoroughly. Little lather is normal: do not add more shampoo.
4

Moisturise the lengths
Spread a small hazelnut-sized amount of Hair Balm through the lengths, comb, leave on for 2 minutes and rinse thoroughly if your hair is fine. It softens without weighing down the roots.
5

Every evening: Phyto Gel Bio H, then Oligo F3
Spread about a hazelnut-sized amount of Phyto Gel Bio H over the whole scalp, not just the temples or the crown, and massage in with your fingertips. Then apply a few small dabs of Oligo F3 in the same way. Do not rinse. Using more brings no benefit: the excess turns to dust when you brush.
6

Once the hair loss has stabilised: Régénorsil
When you are losing less hair, add Régénorsil, 2 times a week at most: spray it directly onto the scalp, massage and do not rinse. On the evenings you use it, apply it first, before Phyto Gel Bio H and Oligo F3. Before the hair loss stabilises, it may temporarily increase the shedding of hairs already at the end of their cycle.
7

Optional step: Silicium Organique Forté
If you wish, you can add Silicium Organique Forté to your routine, a food supplement for adults only: maintenance, 25 ml a day; intensive course, 3 × 25 ml a day for 30 days. Preferably take it in the morning on an empty stomach, waiting at least 30 minutes before coffee.

Precautions
Terral Gris, Terral Vert, Energising Shampoo (camphor and menthol), Phyto Gel Bio H, Oligo F3 and Régénorsil contain essential oils: do not use during pregnancy or breastfeeding; they are not recommended for children (Energising Shampoo under 6). The Terral masks, Phyto Gel Bio H and Oligo F3 are also not recommended for elderly people or people with chronic conditions; Terral Gris is not recommended if your scalp sweats a lot. Hair Balm contains wheat proteins: do not use it if you are allergic to wheat or gluten. Silicium Organique Forté is a food supplement for adults only, not recommended for pregnant or breastfeeding women or children; do not exceed the recommended daily dose. Avoid contact with the eyes and do a skin test if you are prone to allergies.

Frequently asked questions
No. These are cosmetic products that care for the scalp and hair. If your hair loss began when you started taking prescribed hormones, talk to your doctor.
Rubbing with your fingertips stimulates sebum production, which is already abundant in this profile. Prefer gently folding the skin or massaging it with your palms: it is also a moment to relax.
No, over the whole scalp, even if the hair loss is localised. There is no point using more: a hazelnut-sized amount is enough.
As long as the hair loss has not stabilised, it may temporarily increase the shedding of hairs already at the end of their cycle. This is not a negative effect, but it can be unsettling: start with Phyto Gel Bio H and Oligo F3.
You may have signs of both hormonal and deficiency-related hair loss: this is mixed hair loss, which has its own protocol. The Géomer hair assessment helps you find your way.
