Understanding oily skin according to TCM

Skin that produces too much sebum is not "dirty" skin — it is skin whose sebaceous glands are out of balance. In Traditional Chinese Medicine, this imbalance is directly linked to the Wood Element — energy no. 1, which governs the Liver and the Gallbladder. A Liver with excess energy shows on the skin as overproduction of sebum, spots, blackheads and a tendency to blemishes.

This imbalance is particularly marked in spring — the season of the Wood Element — but can appear all year round.

What makes Terral Vert special: it does not simply absorb surface sebum. Its formula creates a cutaneous lymphatic micro-drainage where it is applied — helping to purify the tissues and remineralising the skin in depth thanks to organic silicon.

TCM energy use: For direct action on the Liver and Gallbladder meridians, apply Terral Vert to the corresponding areas for 20 minutes.

What Terral Vert does

Purifies without drying — Montmorillonite clay absorbs excess sebum and removes impurities. The formula is designed to balance the sebaceous glands without causing reactive dryness.

Drains in depth — the cutaneous lymphatic micro-drainage decongests clogged pores and helps reduce spots and blackheads.

Remineralises — organic silicon helps offset the demineralisation common in dehydrated oily skin.

Purifies oily scalps — can be applied directly to the scalp in case of localised excess sebum. 1 jar of 250 ml = 12 full scalp applications.



Key ingredients

Montmorillonite clay + Essential oils

Green Montmorillonite clay is one of the most effective sebum absorbents in natural cosmetics. Essential oils of rosemary, sage, pine, cypress, juniper, peppermint and thyme complete the purifying action of the mask.

Organic silicon

Present as monomethylsilanetriol, it enhances the penetration of the mineral ingredients into the deeper layers, supports skin renewal after drainage and helps maintain skin elasticity after application.

Synergistic essential oils

Rosemary · Sage · Pine · Juniper berries · Cypress · Thyme · Peppermint. They purify, stimulate skin microcirculation and strengthen the purifying action of the clay on enlarged pores and blemish-prone areas.

Application protocol:

  • Apply with a brush (8 mm face / 16 mm scalp) to uncleansed skin
  • Apply a layer about 1 mm thick
  • Do not let it dry completely — if the mask dries, top up with a little product
  • Rinse with lukewarm or cold water, then cleanse the skin

Application to uncleansed skin is intentional — the clay works better on the impurities naturally present on the surface.

Going further — Géomer personalisation: Add a few drops of Amplitude N°1 directly to the mask before application to enhance the action on the Liver and Gallbladder meridians.

Frequently asked questions

A clay mask that dries completely starts to reabsorb the skin's natural water — which creates a drying, uncomfortable effect. Terral Vert should remain slightly moist to maintain its draining action without harming the skin barrier. As soon as it starts to turn white at the edges, top up or rinse.

For very oily or blemish-prone skin: 2 to 3 times a week in the initial phase, then once a week for maintenance. For oily scalps: once a week. For the body: as needed.

On its own, Terral Vert purifies and regulates in depth. With Amplitude N°1, you personalise the mask according to your energy imbalance — the Amplitude enhances the action on the Liver and Gallbladder meridians. This is the exclusive tailor-made principle of Laboratoire Géomer. On days without a mask, the Purifying Serum takes over as daily care.
