On the last weekend of March 2026, our Estonian partners at Biotheka took part in the Tallinn Beauty Festival — one of the most closely followed beauty and wellness events in the Baltic countries. Dozens of brands, and a demanding, well-informed public, used to reading labels, comparing formulas and asking precise questions.

What the lack of light really does to your biology
In Tallinn, in December, the sun rises at 9:09 and sets at 15:20. Six hours of daylight a day — when it deigns to show itself. In January, night sometimes begins before you have finished your lunch.

Why MMST organic silicon and not another?
Silicon is the second most abundant element in the Earth's crust. But in your body, the form matters as much as the quantity. Specifically, MMST organic silicon contributes to:

Organic silicon and the brain: what four independent studies have shown
The scientific research on the link between organic silicon and brain protection is more solid than one might think. Here are the four pillars on which our conviction rests.
1. The PAQUID study — INSERM Bordeaux (2009)
The PAQUID cohort followed 1,925 subjects aged 65 and over for 15 years. Result: a high concentration of silica in drinking water was associated with a significant reduction in the risk of dementia, independently of other variables. Conversely, a high concentration of aluminium increased the risk of Alzheimer's disease by more than 100%.

2. The Keele University clinical trial — Davenward (2013)
Prof. Christopher Exley and his team recruited 15 patients with Alzheimer's disease and had them drink up to 1 litre of silicon-rich water a day for 12 weeks. At the end: body aluminium load had decreased and 3 patients out of 15 showed a clinically significant cognitive improvement — with no side effects.

3. Birchall & Chappell — The Lancet (1989)
This foundational letter laid the groundwork: silica blocks the intestinal absorption of aluminium by forming non-absorbable hydroxyaluminosilicates. A natural protective mechanism that our modern diet can no longer provide on its own.

4. Jones, Linhart, Hawkins & Exley — EBioMedicine (2017)
Published in EBioMedicine (a Lancet group journal), this study confirms that silicon-rich water significantly increased urinary aluminium excretion in patients with secondary progressive multiple sclerosis — opening a non-invasive avenue for reducing the toxic load.
